टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2024 के दौरान आईसीसी को भारी नुकसान का सामना करना पड़ा है। आईसीसी के वार्षिक बैठक से पहले इस बात का खुलासा हुआ है। आईसीसी ने इस बार टी20 वर्ल्ड कप का आयोजन वेस्टइंडीज और अमेरिका में किया था।

टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2024 का आयोजन इस बार अमेरिका और वेस्टइंडीज में किया गया था। इस टूर्नामेंट के फाइनल में भारतीय टीम ने साउथ अफ्रीका को 7 रनों से हराया और 17 सालों के बाद टी20 वर्ल्ड कप का खिताब अपने नाम किया। टूर्नामेंट के दौरान आईसीसी ने जमकर पैसे खर्च किए। आपको बता दें कि क्रिकेट के इतिहास में पहली बार किसी आईसीसी टूर्नामेंट का आयोजन अमेरिका में किया गया था। आईसीसी को टूर्नामेंट के हिट होने की पूरी उम्मीद थी, लेकिन आईसीसी के सालाना बैठक से पहले टी20 वर्ल्ड कप से जुड़ा एक बड़ा खुलासा हुआ है। दरअसल आईसीसी को अमेरिका में खेले गए वर्ल्ड कप मैचों में करोड़ों का नुकसान हुआ है।

आईसीसी को हुआ भारी नुकसान

आईसीसी इस बार अपनी सालाना बैठक श्रीलंका की राजधानी कोलंबो में आयोजित कर रहा है। इस बैठक का आयोजन 19 जुलाई से 22 जुलाई तक किया जाएगा। आपको बता दें कि इस बैठक के दौरान कई बड़े मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाएगी। जिसपर क्रिकेट फैंस की नजरें बनी हुई हैं। माना जा रहा है कि शुक्रवार को बोर्ड की बैठक के साथ शुरू होने वाले आईसीसी सम्मेलन में संस्था द्वारा अमेरिका में टी20 वर्ल्ड कप मैचों की मेजबानी में दो करोड़ अमेरिकी डॉलर से अधिक के नुकसान पर चर्चा होने की उम्मीद है। आईसीसी के इस नुकसान को भारतीय रुपए में देखे तो यह लगभग 167 करोड़ रुपए से भी ज्यादा है। हालांकि एजीएम (वार्षिक आम बैठक) के एजेंडे में टूर्नामेंट का वित्तीय विवरण शामिल नहीं है, लेकिन बोर्ड द्वारा कार्यक्रम के बाद की रिपोर्ट के रूप में इस पर चर्चा की जाएगी जो एक जरूरी प्रक्रिया है।

वर्ल्ड कप के दौरान खाली नजर आए स्टेडियम

टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के दौरान कई मैचों में स्टेडियम पूरी तरह से खाली नजर आए थे। हालांकि वेस्टइंडीज में खेले गए मुकाबलों के दौरान फैंस स्टेडियम में मौजूद थे, लेकिन अमेरिका में खेले गए मैचों के दौरान देखा गया कि कई स्टैंड भरे नहीं थे। माना जा रहा है कि वर्ल्ड कप के दौरान टूर्नामेंट के प्रचार को अमेरिका में सही से नहीं किया गया। वहीं टिकटों के रेट भी काफी ज्यादा थे। जिसके कारण फैंस स्टेडियम में कम नजर आए। इसके अलावा अमेरिका में आईसीसी ने करोड़ों रुपए खर्च करके एक नए स्टेडियम का निर्माण भी किया था, लेकिन भारत के मैच के अलावा किसी अन्य मैच में उस स्टेडियम को भरा हुआ नहीं देखा गया।
